Time for a Cup of Tea: a good thing nicked from China
$15.00
A cup of tea may be seen nostalgically by some as quintessentially English. But, of course, it was a medicinal beverage in China for millennia. The transmission of tea plants to the British Empire is a tale of subterfuge and skulduggery, and it was perpetrated by a Scot! Fortune and the tea leaves, indeed! The British established tea plantations in India and Ceylon, and today tea is flourishing in New Zealand. Just my cup of tea!
