I have more questions than answers. Before visiting, I was aware of a sense of menace and mystery surrounding 'the Kremlin' and yet I made amazing discoveries inside the Kremlin. Recalling the lyrics of Joni Mitchell's song, Both sides now: "It's life's illusions I recall; I really don't know life at all": Is it naïve to imagine a 'new Russia', or is the 'old Russia' merely Western political and media prejudice and outdated misinformation? These lectures will offer an opportunity to revisit Russia.
